POWDER COATING DETAILS
Powder coated skids go through a 2 stage coating process. First coat is a zinc primer that acts as a strong barrier to prevent corrosion from water and salt. Zinc primer is highly recommended since the skid will be under the vehicle constantly being sprayed by water from the salted roads during the winter months for example in locations that receive snow. A top coat of Satin Black is then applied. Two layers of protection in total to fight against rust mostly but serves as added protection to the skid when scraping or impacted offroading.
